For Isabell Cooley, a Marketing major from Waterford, Michigan, her two years at ɫTV were filled with meaningful relationships, spiritual growth, and memorable achievements that she says will stay with her for a lifetime.
As a member of the Women’s Bowling Team, Isabell helped lead her team to historic accomplishments. They won the Hoosier Classic for the first time in school history and went on to qualify for nationals as a team, which was another first for Judson bowling. Beyond athletics, Isabell served on the Athletic Leadership Team, interned with the Chicago Auto Show, and was inducted into the honors businessfraternity Sigma Beta Delta, gaining valuable leadership and professional experiences that prepared her for her career in business and marketing.
Still, it wasn’t just the achievements that defined her Judson journey, it was the people. Isabell describes how her coaches, teammates, and friends fostered a community where she felt safe to grow and supported in her faith. That sense of belonging even shaped her personal life, as she met her boyfriend, Aiden, at Judson. Together, they have built a Christ-centered relationship that continues to impact her daily life and remind her of God’s plan at work.
Chapel played a central role in her Judson experience. Attending regularly, she found that the messages not only strengthened her faith but also supported her mental health and outlook on life. The diversity of the Judson community stood out to her, as she built friendships with peers from different backgrounds, each bringing their own unique story and perspective. Guest speakers in Chapel often left a lasting impact, sharing stories that encouraged her through difficult times and offered wisdom for everyday challenges. “I learned that His plan is far better than the plans I make,” Isabell reflected. “Once you trust in Him, your life will truly change for the better.”
When asked to describe Judson in three words, Isabell chose: Community, Christ-Centered, Enriching. For her, Judson was not only a place of academic and athletic growth, but also a community where her faith deepened, her relationships flourished, and her future was shaped with Christ at the center.
