FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Elgin, IL鈥On November 20th 2025, five Judson students will be competing for the best entrepreneurial idea in Thulin Auditorium. Beginning at 7 p.m., this competition will showcase a presentation of each student鈥檚 idea, which will be voted on by three judges.
Inspired by the TV show, Judson鈥檚 annual 鈥淪hark Tank鈥 competition allows Judson students to practice entrepreneurial thinking and present their ideas to a panel of sharks. Judson students have anticipated this valuable and fun experience since 2014.
This year, Toby Wamsley, David Peterson, Gordon Thompson, Hana Cunningham, and Katelyn Kiefer will be competing for the $1,000 award for first place.

Toby Wamsley will be presenting his idea for 鈥淲earUrClimtate,鈥 a technology that can be attached to the interior of any piece of clothing to bring individuals ultimate comfort no matter the weather. David Peterson will be introducing his idea for 鈥淩evised Rip-Off,鈥 a permanent Velcro patch that can be applied to any high school jersey to allow players鈥 names to be added and removed for maximization of jersey investments from year to year. Gordon Thompson will be delivering his idea for 鈥淪hared Co.鈥, a non-profit venture to share food, Gospel materials, and resources with the homeless. Hana Cunningham will be presenting her idea for 鈥淏eyond Words Co.鈥, a non-profit that provides a place where kids can work through trauma in a safe environment through art forms. Katelyn Kiefer will be introducing her idea for 鈥淏eyond Bats,鈥 an invention designed to hold baseball and softball bats on the fence and clear of the ground during each game.
With five incredible ideas, this competition is not something you鈥檒l want to miss. We hope you鈥檒l consider joining us on the 20th to support these five entrepreneurs and see firsthand which idea takes first place.
