Elgin, IL 鈥 好色先生TV is proud to announce that Christy Anderson, Operator of Chick-fil-A Delafield, WI, will serve as the keynote speaker for the upcoming commencement ceremonies on听Saturday, December 14, 2025, at听Herrick Chapel听at our Elgin Campus. The first ceremony will begin at听10:00听a.m., and the second ceremony will begin at听2:00p.m.

With more than two decades of experience in leadership, business development, and team culture, Anderson brings a unique blend of marketplace insight, community engagement, and faith-driven service to this year鈥檚 ceremony.

Before opening Chick-fil-A Delafield six years ago, Anderson held several leadership roles within Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the Chicago area. She also spent 18 years in sales and consulting within the gift and craft industry, partnering with businesses of all sizes to foster growth and success. Throughout her career, Anderson has remained committed to building healthy teams, empowering others, and serving with excellence.

A proud Judson alumna, Anderson completed her degree in Organizational Business and Leadership through the university鈥檚 adult program after beginning her studies in Educational Ministries at Moody Bible Institute.

Anderson鈥檚 dedication to service extends beyond the workplace. She actively participates in her local church and leads international service projects with Lifeshape in partnership with Azmera, supporting female global workers. She and her family have also contributed to El Ayudante initiatives in Honduras, providing clean water, education, healthcare, and spiritual care to local communities.

She and her husband, Brett, also a Judson graduate, have two daughters and continue to invest in their team, guests, and community through Chick-fil-A鈥檚 shared vision of becoming the world鈥檚 most caring company.

Elgin, IL 鈥 好色先生TV will celebrate its annual Founders鈥 Day Celebration on Friday, October 24, 2025. This meaningful occasion will highlight Judson鈥檚 rich heritage, honoring the individuals whose vision inspired the founding of Judson and those who have continued their legacy.

Founders鈥 Day will commence with a gathering for Judson鈥檚 Fox Valley Spiritual Council, which a special service will follow in Herrick Chapel at 10 a.m. We are blessed to have alumnus and former Judson trustee Dr. Nate Adams 鈥80 as our speaker for this year鈥檚 Convocation. A strong leader, a former pastor, and a passionate follower of Christ, Dr. Adams has extensive experience in ministry. He worked with Christianity Today for 17 years before becoming the Vice President of the North American Mission Board. He now serves as the Executive Director of the Illinois Baptist State Association in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Adams鈥 message and his heart for missions will be an inspiration to all in attendance.

An invitation-only luncheon will directly follow the service, where Judson鈥檚 highest service honor, the Golden Eagle Award, will be presented.

2025 Featured Speaker: Dr. Nate Adams 鈥80

Since 2006, Dr. Nate Adams has served as Executive Director of the Illinois Baptist State Association in Springfield, Illinois, a network of around nine hundred Southern Baptist Churches throughout the state. Prior to that, Dr. Adams served for eight years as Vice President of Media and Mobilization for the Southern Baptist Convention鈥檚 North American Mission Board in Atlanta, Georgia, and for seventeen years as Corporate Vice President of Publishing Operations for Christianity Today, Inc. in Carol Stream, Illinois. He has also been a bi-vocational church planter, youth minister, and has served as an interim pastor for several churches.听

Dr. Adams received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from 好色先生TV and subsequently earned a Master of Arts degree in Management from National-Louis University in Evanston, Illinois. In 2006, he was awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters from 好色先生TV, where he served on the Board of Trustees for twenty-one years. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Missouri.听

Dr. Adams is the author of four books, including The Acts 1:8 Challenge, the 2005 Doctrine Study for Southern Baptists, and The Home Team, Spiritual Practices for a Winning Family. He and his wife, Beth 鈥81, have three married children: Caleb, Noah 鈥13, and Ethan 鈥15, as well as six grandchildren. 

2025 Golden Eagle Award Recipient: Dr. Robert Currie

Raised in the Detroit area, Rob Currie graduated from Inter-City Christian High School and then earned his B.A. in psychology from Cornerstone University. A move to St. Louis followed, where he earned a Ph.D. in experimental psychology from St. Louis University. He also met and married his wife, Kay, in St. Louis.听

From St. Louis he moved to Elgin to teach psychology at Judson where he has taught for thirty-eight years. He enjoys using creative teaching methods, including having his students memorize Bible verses by putting them to music. 

In addition to teaching, he has published three books. The most recent, in 2020, was Hunger Winter: A World War II Novel, which received the Book of the Decade! of the Decade Award from Serious Writer and was endorsed by the Corrie ten Boom Foundation. In January of 2026, Tyndale will release the sequel, Time for Courage, which has been endorsed by ten award-winning authors and three Holocaust Museums. 

Rob and Kay have two grown sons and six grandchildren. When he鈥檚 not teaching or writing, he enjoys going for walks with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren, cooking, and sharing jokes with his friends.

Elgin, IL听鈥撎蒙壬鶷V will host its 2024 commencement ceremonies on Saturday, December 14th, at Herrick Chapel on the University鈥檚 campus. This year鈥檚 commencement will feature two ceremonies: one at 10:00 a.m. and another at 2:00 p.m. Doors will open for guests at 9:00 a.m. for the morning ceremony and 1:00 p.m. for the afternoon ceremony. Commencement Speaker: Dr. Nick Perrin

Nick Perrin, Senior Pastor of Corinth Reformed Church in Hickory, North Carolina, will deliver the commencement address. Dr. Perrin brings an abundance of experience in academia, theology, and leadership to this year鈥檚 commencement. Prior to serving as Senior Pastor at Corinth Reformed Church, Dr. Perrin was the President of Trinity International University for five years. He also held a noticeable role as a professor of New Testament and served as Dean of the Graduate School throughout his 14-year tenure at Wheaton College Graduate School.

A prolific author, Dr. Perrin has contributed extensively to the field of biblical scholarship, including over a dozen books. His most recent publications include听Luke: An Introduction and Commentary听 and听The Kingdom of God: A Biblical Theology. Dr. Perrin鈥檚 academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Bible from Marquette University, a Master of Divinity from , and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from

Elgin, IL (September 2024) 鈥 好色先生TV is excited to welcome two notable speakers to its September chapel services, bringing a range of perspectives that promise to inspire and engage the Judson community.

On Monday, September 16Pastor Mattie Montgomery, leader of The Alter Church in Tennessee and former lead singer of the metalcore band For Today, will speak at chapel. Pastor Montgomery, who is biracial, has made a significant impact both through his ministry and outreach. His church was recently featured in The Roys Report for its incredible act of generosity in paying off medical debt for thousands in their community. Pastor Montgomery has spoken at Judson chapel multiple times, and we are honored to welcome him back once again.

On Wednesday, September 18, Judson will host a Constitution Day Chapel featuring Daniel Cameron, former Kentucky Attorney General and current CEO of the 1792 Exchange. Cameron has served in both legal and corporate leadership roles and will offer a unique perspective on the Constitution鈥檚 relevance in today鈥檚 society. His expertise as a political leader and advocate for freedom aligns with Judson’s commitment to equipping students to become ethical and responsible citizens.

好色先生TV is thrilled to announce that Bruce Koblish, a distinguished figure in Christian music and media, will deliver the commencement address at the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2024 on May 4th. Judson鈥檚 Commencement ceremony will be held on May 4, 2024 in the Herrick Chapel at the Elgin Campus.

Bruce Koblish has charted a remarkable journey marked by transition, letting go, and change, ultimately leading him to his current endeavors focused on serving the most vulnerable in society. In 2020, he founded Willow Bend Creative, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, hunger, abuse, and addiction. Through initiatives like Hope in The Gate, a national retreat model in partnership with Citygate Network, Koblish has facilitated life transformation, utilizing the power of Christian music and storytelling to bring dignity and respect to marginalized communities.

Prior to his work with Willow Bend Creative, Koblish served as the President and CEO of CNI (The Worship Network) from 2005 to 2015, reaching millions of viewers with messages of hope and healing through television programming. His extensive career in Christian music includes producing and arranging for renowned artists such as Sandi Patty, Steve Green, and Michael W. Smith. Koblish鈥檚 contributions to the industry also include his tenure as President of the Gospel Music Association and President of Reunion Records.

Judson Celebrates Community Volunteers at Annual Prayer Breakfast /judson-celebrates-community-volunteers-at-annual-prayer-breakfast/ Fri, 12 May 2023 15:49:54 +0000 /?p=317488 Nearly 200 community members, local dignitaries, civic leaders, and church leaders attended Judson’s 35th Annual Community Prayer Breakfast held this morning, May 12. Attendees heard Ceitci Demirkova’s story of coming to the United States from Bulgaria with very little and relying on God’s goodness.

For the first time, Judson honored two individuals with the D. Ray Wilson Volunteer Service Award at the event. While all of the nominees for the D. Ray Wilson Award have given generously of their time and talent to the Fox Valley, two individuals’ long-term and varied service warranted special recognition. In honor of that, Judson’s selection committee recommended that Robert Langlois and Pat Szpekowski both be selected as D. Ray Wilson Award honorees.

Robert “Bob” Langlois retired from Motorola where he was Director of International Relations and served as a key liaison between Motorola鈥檚 field offices, corporate headquarters, global business communities, and diplomatic corps in Chicago. Today, he is president of ECO Advanced Technologies, which designs and markets integrated Controlled Environment Agricultural Systems. He also has contributed significantly to the community by serving for 13 years as Chair of the Elgin Zoning Commission, as a board member for Food for Greater Elgin, and as a member of the Elgin Cooperative Ministry, where he has served as Chair and Vice-chair. Bob is the treasurer for Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and is part of Holy Trinity Lutheran’s Service team, where he manages the church鈥檚 Soup Kettle. He also serves on the Police Department鈥檚 social team to help relocate those needing shelter. He served on the Library Community Board鈥檚 Census board and is often the 鈥渂oots on the grounds鈥 for many food drives and lunch programs to benefit others.

Pat Szpekowski founded her business, PR Strategies and Communications, in 1987. As president of PR Strategies, Pat became an award-winning writer for the Observer, the Catholic Diocese of Rockford鈥檚 weekly newspaper, Air Chicago Magazine as well as several other city magazines. She has served as president of the Chicago Suburban Public Relations Society Chapter and is the Immediate Past President of the Northern Illinois News Association. Throughout her career, she has generously served many nonprofits within the Fox Valley. Pat founded the networking group Women in Business, was the first female chairman of the Board for what is now the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce, served as Community Leadership Board Chair of Ascension Saint Joseph 鈥 Elgin for 10 years, was a member of the Elgin Community College Foundation for 18 years. She also has served on the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of Algonquin for the past 25 years. 听

Alumnus听Chad Benavidez, a Judson alumnus and police officer who has volunteered in Elgin at Judson during the 2022-23 academic year, was nominated for the award. Chad has been teaching a police academy designed specifically for the RISE program for students.听He also helped organize the annual Special Olympics Basketball game at Judson between the students and the Elgin Police Department.听

The World Leaders Forum Inspirational Series will welcome Dr. Shawna Pandya, a physician surgeon, citizen scientist, and astronaut candidate from Alberta, Canada to 好色先生TV in Elgin. The main event will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the University鈥檚 Herrick Chapel, 1151 N. State Street in Elgin. Entrepreneur Jacqueline Ruiz will host this event. Tickets are on sale for general and VIP admission. 

The event with Dr. Pandya is the fifth Inspirational Series event and the second developed and hosted by Jacqueline Ruiz, an entrepreneur, author, and Latina pilot. Previous Inspirational Speakers at the event have included Hispanic actor and director Edward James Olmos magician Jim Munroe in 2017, Olympic champion Mary Lou Retton in 2016, and Australian-American Christian evangelist and motivational speaker Nick Vujicic in 2015.

好色先生TV Dr. Shawna Pandya:

Dr. Shawna Pandya is passionate about the two 鈥榚xtremes鈥 of humanity 鈥 surviving and thriving. She鈥檚 interested in furthering technological innovation and human knowledge and tackling humanity鈥檚 grandest challenges to affect positive social change. 

After leaving her career in neurosurgery she went from repeatedly telling herself 鈥淚 am an absolute disgrace,鈥 to gaining a new sense of being.

In her talks, Shawna talks passionately about resilience and the lifelong learning she came to embrace from her time with sociopaths, Navy SEALs, martial arts, medicine, astronauts, and from her father.

She successfully completed Scientist鈥怉stronaut Candidate training in 2015 with Project PoSSUM (Polar Suborbital Science in the Upper Mesosphere) and was part of the first crew to test a commercial spacesuit in zero gravity. 

In 2016, Shawna was named as prime crew for Project Poseidon, which aims to further ocean and space exploration, while setting a world record for 鈥渕ost days spent under the sea.鈥 She also received the Global Women of Vision Award in 2016. 

Preparing for space requires more than just knowledge 鈥 it involves an incredible amount of mental and physical agility. Outside of her work, Shawna continues to further develop these skills through martial arts. She holds a black belt in taekwondo, a sport she鈥檚 been practicing for over 15 years. She has also traveled to Thailand annually since 2015 to train in muay thai.
